Workshops for school groups

In surroundings conducive to invention, children and adults alike give free rein to their imaginations and create their own works of art inspired by a work from the Musée Collection, while trying out various techniques, media and materials.

ART WORKSHOPS FOR ALL

Sundays at either 2 p.m. or 3 p.m.
Free for children under 12 (must be accompanied by an adult).
No reservation required.
Just show your Musée admission ticket.

  • EMERGENCE
    April 10 to May 17, 2009
    This art activity related to a work presented in the Collection exhibition will offer those taking part the chance to create their own original image.

  • IT FLOATS!
    May 22 to June 11, 2009
    Plunge into the pictorial space created by Betty Goodwin, by producing pastel and coloured ink drawings inspired by her work Red Sea, 1984.

  • GLOVEPRINTS
    September 4 to October 4, 2009
    Drawing inspiration from a work by Betty Goodwin entitled Gloves One, 1970, participants will use a printing press and pre-inked gloves to create impressions of fabric textures.

 

ART WORKSHOPS FOR DAY CAMPS AND DAYCARES

Tuesday to Thursday, from July 14 to August 13, 2009
Bloc A: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Bloc B: 1:15 to 3:15 p.m.
Cost: $5 per participant, including workshop and tour of exhibitions

ART WORKSHOPS: CREATIVE TUESDAYS

On Tuesdays, from 1:30 to 4 p.m.
Art workshops for adults who want to add some creativity to their Tuesday afternoons. On the day of the activity, come to the museum a little earlier and you can visit the exhibitions free of charge (just show your workshop admission ticket).
Cost: $12 per workshop. Space is limited.

  • DYNAMIC DUO
    April 14 and 21, 2009
    This pair of activities will prompt participants to create images of their own inspired by works in the Musée Collection.

  • UNRESTRICTED…
    September 8, 15, 22 and 29, 2009
    This series of activities will examine several aspects of Betty Goodwin’s art, with special focus on her distinctively free approach to drawing. Four works in the exhibition will serve as the starting point.
