The Making of Anselm Kiefer Exhibition
Part One: The Works Arrive

Montréal, January 26, 2006. As a preview on your computer screens, we are offering a three-part story of the making of the Kiefer exhibition, the event of the winter in Montréal, which will open at the Musée d’art contemporain this coming February 11. Each week until then, you can follow the progress of the daily challenge being met by the Musée team to get ready for the exhibition Anselm Kiefer: Heaven – Earth.

In Part One: The Works Arrive (5 minutes 40 seconds), you’ll witness the operations involved in transporting the works: arrival of the massive 14-wheelers, manual unloading of crates as large as the garage opening at its widest, manoeuvres by the technical crew on the dock, which was modified to accommodate the biggest pieces the Musée has ever received! Come along for the ride as the crates go up the elevator and roll into the galleries.

The video is also available, for broadcast purposes, in Betacam format on request.
